The Good House Keeping Guide

The Hazred guide recommends that waste streams are clearly marked and kept together in one easily reached convenient place. This serves two purposes, one it lets your members of staff know exactly where the waste containment is located and thereby ensures the waste is consigned correctly by the site staff. Secondly the waste containment storage capacity is easily monitored ensuring sufficient containment is available or more can be ordered.

It should be noted that if the drums for Oil filters etc are clearly identified with little movement of the drums then mixing of waste is less likely to occur. The principal of ensuring that waste types are not mixed was established and set into legislation in the Hazardous Waste regulations 2005 to aid the chances of the waste being recycled. Therefore if required Credential Automotive are happy to supply additional labels to any of their existing customers.

Credential Automotive also can provide a simple inspection sheet to each of their customers to ensure that the waste are regularly checked and containment does not reach a critical point. (Please see Example Below).
