WEDNESBURY PLANT TO OPEN SOON

Credential Environmental is spending £400,000 boosting capacity of their Breighton, North Yorkshire, facility in readiness for the opening of its £4m plus cryogenic plant in South Wales. Breighton, together with their Wednesbury sites, will process scrap tyres into a form that allows them to be frozen with liquid nitrogen and then crumbed at the South Wales Credential sites.

The upgrading of both Breighton and Wednesbury will ensure that bottlenecks of shredded tyres will not occur in the process of supplying the cryogenic plant's 30,000 tonne per year capacity.

Last year Breighton processed 15 million tyres and this will increase following the installation of two new £150,000 tyre shredding rotors, supplied by Columbus McKinnon.
