The environment agency and senior politicians have called for tougher penalties for waste crimes—as the cost of dealing with illegal dumping soars to £100 million a year.

The “new deal” is being offered to existing waste tyre customers only and offers a full Service Level Agreement with a fixed price for twelve months, in return for a further twelve month commitment from the customer.

This is important - if you have waste you have a legal ‘Duty of Care’.

The Duty of Care applies to everyone involved in handling the waste, from the person who produces it, to the person who finally disposes of or recovers it. Duty of Care is one of the main ways to combat fly tipping.

The Waste Incineration Directive (WID) is a European law which aims to prevent, or limit as far as practicable, negative effects on the environment from the incineration and co-incineration of waste.
