Environmental charging is the fashion statement at the moment and is unlikely to disappear in the near or distant future. In reality Environmental charges have been in place in the tyre industry with some of the large companies showing an environmental charge for at least 5 years. More and more customers are getting used to paying these type of charges and may even look at these type of charges as a type of assurance that the company they are dealing with will provide a suitable honourable recycling route or disposal method for their waste.
