Segregation
Compliance with pre-treatment regulations is as simple as segregating
a
single waste stream, and it could actually save you money if
it is diverted away from landfill.
As part of the automotive industry it can be assumed that a
large proportion of your waste is made up of packaging i.e.
cardboard and plastic.
National trade waste providers are concentrating on a number
of core wastes to segregate, this enables them to set up routes
specific to a waste type.
There are a number of options available, including wheelie bins
and skips for various sorted wastes, subject to availability
in your area. |

Glass
1 recycled glass bottle would save enough energy to power a computer
for 25 minutes
Plastic
Plastic can take up to 500 years to decompose
Cardboard
On average, 16% of the money you spend on a product pays for the
packaging
Paper
12.5 million tonnes of paper and cardboard are used annually in
the UK

Compacting
As well as the option of segregating waste in separate containment
for collection, there is also a very cost effective baling
solution available from our recommended supplier, Miltek GB.
The benefits are numerous, and could in fact help you save
money, as generally bailed waste is collected free of charge.
Miltek cover on a national basis, and work with your business
to come up with a flexible solution to your recycling needs.

supply to your service centre or body shop.
Dual use machines are available to bale cardboard and plastics
as well as crush paint tins.
Free trials are available to establish current waste costs,
the machine spec most suitable and the potential associated
savings.
